Steenrod PTA will be
hosting an end of the year Fun
Field Day during the afternoon of Friday, May 17, 2013. The weather looks to be wonderful! Please
remember to apply sunscreen to your children before they come to
school!
Also, please make sure they are in loose, comfortable clothing
with tennis shoes on their feet!
Please, absolutely no flip-flops!
If you are bringing food donations, please remember to do so first thing Friday Morning. If you are working at the event, please be there promptly at 12:00 Noon. Don't worry if you have not been contacted, you will get your assignment at the door. Also, please make sure that you PTA membership has been paid in full if you want to volunteer. If you have any questions, please contact Heather Henthorne.

It is time for the Buy One, Get One Book Fair!
This is a fast moving fair and is only being held on Monday, May 20th and Tuesday, May 21st.
There are no preview days, simply shopping, and no reorders.
This book
fair is all about getting books into our students hands for some great
summer reading!

The PTA has purchased a t-shirt for each child to wear on Fun Field
Day. We have also purchased extra t-shirts for FFD volunteers. These
shirts can be purchased by emailing Tracie. The cost for each shirt is $8.00. |

We
are trying something different this year. We are starting our
membership drive for the 2013-2014 academic year now. Why you ask? As
the school years' seem to be starting earlier, it is hard to get
everything together and ready for the committees in a timely manner.
We hope by starting now, it will make the start of the new school year
smoother. Please send your membership form in ASAP!
