A Can, A Van, A Plan for St. Luke's Food Pantry

Steenrod PTA’s Citizenship Committee would like to sponsor one final community service drive as we close out the school year, for a cause that provides direct benefit to the hungry in Wheeling. All food donations will be donated to St. Luke’s Food Pantry located on Wheeling Island.  
 
We will have a van parked in front of Steenrod School from 8:00 – 8:30 A.M on the morning of Fun Field Day, Friday, May 19, 2017. Volunteers will help students load donations directly into the van as they arrive at school. We are hoping for 100% participation - it would be wonderful if every child brings an item for the van!  
 
Suggested items for donation to the pantry:                                                
  • Food Items: canned fruit, applesauce, peanut butter, jelly, soup, juice, cereal, macaroni and cheese, canned pasta, crackers Paper Products: napkins, paper towels 
  • Cash donations are always accepted and appreciated. Checks should be made out to St. Luke’s directly. 
We will be collecting items one day only – Friday, May 19 from 8:00 – 8:30 A.M.   Thank you!
